Instagram has listened to its users' feedback and has now introduced the ability to post GIFs in comments. The announcement was confirmed by the head of the social media platform, Adam Mosseri.
According to the executive, this feature was highly requested by the public, as it expands users' expressive capabilities through the posting of GIFs.
Instagram has partnered with Giphy to enable this feature within its application. Users simply need to tap on the icon to choose the best option from the vast catalog available on the platform.
Another feature announced by Mosseri is the ability to include song lyrics within Reels, which was clearly inspired by the automatic captioning feature in Stories. Users will still have the option to manually synchronize the captions before posting.
Both of these exciting additions will begin rolling out this week to the stable version of Instagram.
